We’re so excited to announce that enrollment for Camp Jack Hazard 2026 is now open!
As we look ahead, we’re grateful for the steady support of our camp families and community who believe in what this place makes possible for kids every summer.
Over the past year, the Jack and Buena Foundation has stayed busy putting support into action. We’re proud to share that we’ve completed and fulfilled our recent grant project awarded to camps affected by the 2018 Donnell Fire, using those funds to make meaningful improvements across camp. This includes repairs to our water system and managing the damage from erosion issues caused by fire damage.
2025 marked our first full summer with the improved water system, and we’re thankful to be moving forward with stronger infrastructure that helps camp run safely and smoothly.
We also want to recognize the legacy of Lynn Bomberger, whose love for Camp Jack Hazard continues to live on through a generous estate contribution. We’re honored to steward her gift in partnership with the Stanislaus Community Foundation, and we’re grateful for what her support will mean for the future of Camp Jack Hazard Facilities, Programs, Staffing and more.
We are grateful to celebrate this achievements with our new Board Members: Tatiana Altman, Ian Johnson, Liz Baker and returning member Joel Buettner.
We can’t wait to welcome returning families and new campers in 2026 and to once again fill camp with the laughter, curiosity, and confidence that summer in the Sierra brings.
