The Jack and Buena Foundation
The primary goal of The Jack and Buena Foundation is to ensure that Camp Jack Hazard continues providing life-changing experiences to Central Valley youths for years to come. We know how much of an impact Camp can have on a child's life, and we want to make this experience accessible to all members of the community. In the last three years, we helped 75 kids attend camp. This support helped keep camp open even though the YMCA of Stanislaus County has closed its Modesto facility.
In May 2011, The Jack and Buena Foundation announced its decision to rent and operate Camp Jack Hazard. All operations of Camp Jack Hazard are currently in our care. Though we will continue to provide scholarships, our focus has changed accordingly to run a successful summer camp. 2011 has not been an easy summer but we are confident that with continued energy, dedication and work Camp Jack Hazard can return to having summers with full sessions and profitable books.
